Aubrey goes by “Horse Country USA.” The sandy soil that once made it a peanut town now supports horse ranches, breeders and trainers along US-377, and the old peanut dryer still stands downtown. Every October since 1986, the Aubrey Peanut Festival has filled the streets across from it.
